Trotwood-Madison Marches to 6th State Final Appearance (5th in 7 years)

Updated: Jan 13

As a Trotwood-Madison alum (Class of 10'), it's bittersweet knowing that we laid the foundation for 7 straight years of dominance to come after us. We fell to Winton Woods in the Regional finals my senior year, but haven't lost it since. 7 straight Regional Championships, 5 State Championship appearances, and 1 State Championship. This Saturday we have an opportunity to grab our second ring.

After witnessing a dominant 36-0 performance vs. Toledo Central Catholic, (who beat us the previous 3 years), I have full confidence that we can make it happen. The offense is clicking, the defense is on the money, and the special teams was handling their part (The punter was putting it on the money).

Another dope subplot to the victory was experiencing the "Cowbell Mafia" from St. Mary's at work. The Mafia came out to support just a week after Trotwood beat their St. Mary's squad in a tough battle for the Regional title. During these times when racial divide has been at the forefront of America's conversation, it was touching to see the blending of cultures, races, coming together to cheer and celebrate for one common goal.

The Trotwood-Madison football team is encouraging everyone to be at the high-school Friday, at 6:00pm to send the team off to Ohio State to compete for the State Finals. I'd LOVE to see the Trotwood community fill the stands and support our boys as they rally for their second ring this Saturday.

Trotwood-Madison (12-2) vs. Archbishop Hogan (13-1) kicks off at 3pm. The game will be shown on Time Warner Cable channels 1311 (HD), 311 and 99 in Southwest Ohio.
