J. Cole Welcomes Dreamville's Newest Artist J.I.D

J.I.D: "The Never Story"

Dreamville adds some young humble flavor to their squad with their newest signee & east Atlanta native, J.I.D. The young emcee introduces himself in "The Never Story" (above) by showing his old Pontiac that he won't let go until he can get a Maybach. Cole graces the whip by taking a spin while J.I.D rides shotgun. Besides the fact that the cover of "4 Your Eyez Only" was shot in Atlanta, we may been able to foresee this signing coming.

J.I.D - "Never"

J.I.D is apart of the Atlanta/Baltimore collective Spillage Village. If you heard Jermaine's Interlude off of Dj Khaled's "Major Key" album, you might remember a some voices harmonizing "Can't Call It" on the chorus. Well that was the Atlanta duo EarthGang, two fifths of Spillage Village, which also includes Baltimore natives Jordxn Bryant, & Hollywood JB. When the full version released, they were obviously dropping a hint at a potential Dreamville connection, considering the song featured J. Cole & Bas (and we know Cole features are hard to come by).

EarthGang just finished up tour with Bas, J.I.D signs to Dreamville, it's only a matter of time before Jordxn Bryant & Hollywood JB make their major move. Spillage Village last project Bears Like This Too Much (sequel to Bears Like This Too) was a hidden gem of 2016, boasting production from heavy hitters such as Mac Miller, J. Cole, and Childish Major. Check in with their whole squad in the latest episode of their radio show Spill Vill here.
