Know the Game, Know the Players

Updated: Jan 13

The game is to make money.

I repeat the game is to MAKE MONEY.

Please do not play yourself. The quicker you accept that as the motive and reasoning behind all moves business the quicker you will be able to make money on your own. All companies, businesses, and nonprofits has somebody who is bankrolling everything that they do. Eventually they begin to make enough to support themselves. Then they take that money and other assets (buildings, equipment, to the bank and use them as leverage to ask for an even bigger bag of money from the bank to expand on whatever business they may be doing. All in an effort to what...all together now, "MAKE MORE MONEY."

Chew on this...the world economy is $59.7 TRILLION in DEBT!

The next question that I hope you asked yourself is...well if the world is in debt, who on earth do we owe!!!

Money is not real, it is a medium of exchange for goods and services. How is the world in debt to each other. What kind of sense does that make?

Now that you know the game in its simplest form it is important to begin to research the players.

The players are the regulators and massive shakers of the finance world. When they jump the market asks how high, how far, and should we stay in the air.

This week you will have to put in a little bit of post work. Don't think of it as homework because who actually does homework, right? Think of it as money training....that sounds a lot better hopefully.

Below is a list and a brief description of just some of the main players in the world. Google them. I promise it will lead to better understanding. I promise it will help in your day to day conversation about money, which should happen EVERY DAY in our communities. I promise it will make you more confident about really learning to manage your money like the big kids on the block. I promise.

When you google these things type, "Who is ______?" or "What is ______?"

Next google, "How has ____ helped the economy?" and "How has ____ hurt the economy?"

To help ease the process a bit each person should have a link attached. If they don't google them.
